Our Cottage and Homestead are fully self-contained, architect-designed, eco-friendly and immaculately presented. Goosewing Cottage is located on an extinct volcano, which executes a powerful effect on the peace and tranquility of the property.

Stay in, enjoy a stroll or a picnic on the property and relax on the gazebo by the dam, or venture out. Delight in the convenience of direct door-to-door coach transfers for all exclusive Hunter Valley events, including Day On The Green concerts. Enjoy the food and wine trail, with award-winning local vineyards such as Briar Ridge, Peterson’s and Carillion Wines, as well as world class restaurants including the legendary AGFG’s chef-hatted Bistro Molines, just a stone’s throw away.

Whether it be a simple break or a special occasion, we are more than happy to provide our personalised recommendations or create an itinerary just for you. We can arrange indulgence packages, in-house massages, food and wine tours, restaurant reservations and other local activities such as horse riding, bushwalking, golfing, bike riding, heli-tours, flightseeing and hot air ballooning, to name but a few.

Please note, Goosewing is located at high altitude in the mountains and much of the property is on a slope with some stairs to navigate. Consequently the property may not be suitable for visitors with severe mobility issues (please reach out to us directly to discuss any concerns and/or options).

The Cottage

With stunning views of the surrounding countryside and the Brokenback Ranges from all rooms, our 2 bedroom Cottage can accommodate up to 4 guests. Private, stylish, secluded and contemporary with polished concrete floors, a slow-combustion fireplace, and a peaceful outlook, you’ll love spotting the wallabies from the privacy of your own picturesque garden terrace.

  • outdoor terrace with additional table setting and BBQ with gas bottle provided
  • polished concrete floors in bedrooms and living areas

COTTAGE TARIFFS:

Cottage tariffs are based on a per couple/per bedroom rate (the second bedroom is closed when not in use)

A 2 night minimum is in place for all Cottage stays

A 3 night minimum is in place for all long weekends and our Christmas/New Years period

A minimum 4 adult/2 couple tariff is in place for all event weekends.

 

2 NIGHT *WEEKEND STAY (Friday – Sunday):

  • 1 couple/2 adults (1 bedroom):

$600 ($300 per night)

*A flat rate $120 surcharge applies to 2 singles requiring the use of both bedrooms

  • 2 couples/4 adults (2 bedrooms):

$920 ($460 per night)

 

2 NIGHT *MIDWEEK STAY (Monday – Thursday, excluding Public Holidays):

  • 1 couple/2 adults (1 bedroom):

$500 ($250 per night)

  • 2 couples/4 adults (2 bedrooms):

Our spacious 2 bedroom, 2 storey country Homestead can accommodate up to 8 guests and is ideal for couples, groups and larger families. Laze by your private inground saltwater pool with infinite views, or enjoy a wine by the cosy wood fire during the cooler months. Visit our resident chickens and help yourself to the farm fresh eggs.
